Hi Everyone, I have been very busy spreading the word about Impress For Less. I have spoken at two wonderful events within one week, had numerous book signings and was a part of a day long event with the proceeds going to breast cancer. It makes my day hearing all the fabulous feedback from my readers. Time and time again when I am at my signings you tell me how much you love the recipes and all of the information on each page. I love hearing how easy and effortless they are. New brides remark how good I make them look in front of their new in-laws. The best tips come from all of you. So many of you tell me how you substitute chicken for fish in so many of my recipes. Vegans and vegetarians use tofu in all of of the chicken , meat and fish dishes with delicious results. I would love to hear from all of you. You can e-mail me at hope@impressforless.com . Stay well and always remember to entertain with a full heart and cook with love. Love, Hope

It is so wonderful meeting all of you . You truly inspire me. I love hearing how new brides and brides-to-be have been impressing your husbands , fiance’s , and mother-in-laws. One newly engaged woman wrote me how she made the Mediterranean Fish Soup from Bacchanalia in Atlanta and everyone raved! She said I really helped her look good with her new family. Some other dishes that new brides or moms on the go will love are : ” The One Blender Wonder” Armenian Bean and Walnut Pate , Sirloin Steak with Grilled Asparagus and Green Olive Vinaigrette , or the Braised Chicken Legs with Asian Spices. I would love to hear your favorites from Impress For Less. Easter is coming and my next blog I will be giving recipe ideas for Easter dinner. Take good care and spread the word. Hi Everyone, It is so good to be back in touch with you. Atlanta was great. Fans of Impress For Less came out to see me everywhere I went! We are truly a growing movement! I taped a segment on i Village from Chicago on January 30th. It was such fun! The segment was ” How to Prepare A Romantic Dinner for your Boyfriend or Husband Just by Going to the Grocery Store! I picked two Impress For Less recipes : the Chile-Rubbed Rib Eye Steak from Pasion in Philadelphia and the Topolobampo Caesar Salad from Rick Bayless from Chicago. I even featured two of my own recipes! The Kugel-Noodle Pudding and the Mushrooms Stuffed with Crabmeat. DELICIOUS AND SO EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will keep you posted and I will let everyone know when it will air. Please keep in touch and spread the word about Impress For Less . What wonderful time with Chicago Gourmets at Blackbird! This is Chef/Owner Paul Kahan–we had a wonderful evening and the meal was fantastic! I’ve added Chicago Gourmets to my blogroll so check them out!
Lots of people has asked me for new ideas for black eye peas–a famous good luck dish in the south, served on New Year’s Day. I actually included one in my book–the Black Eyed Pea Succotash (page 141). Try it, and post your comments so I know what you think!
Happy Holidays!

What a great store in Chicago! I was there for several hours yesterday—did a book signing and food sampling–we sold out of books! This city definitely has a good karma going. If you are in the city, please come out to visit me. You can find out when & where I’ll be by clicking the Appearances & Events tab on my website at www.impressforless.com
Also, I want to share that Fox & Obel is giving a $20 bonus certificate if you spend $100 on gift certificates or gift baskets for the holiday. Believe me, I saw the gift baskets…fantastic! I’ve also added this as a recommended shopping resource in my blogroll.
Enjoy this magical season of cooking for those you love!

Hello all! I am so excited to finally have my own blog here with my web site. As many of you know, I’ve been keeping a blog at Amazon, and I’m really happy to “have a new home” for it.
I’m currently in LA, and then headed for Chicago. I hear it’s cold and snowy there! I’ll be back in touch soon!
